Harvesting light
Our Vision
To be the leading indoor and outdoor next generation solar solution for the global energy transition.
Our Story
Halocell is Australia’s chance to lead the world in PV again and be the global leader of perovskite manufacturing
We use halide elements in our perovskites along with many other aspects of cutting-edge materials science to harvest light across various settings and commercial applications. Our brand represents the cleanness of our manufacturing process, our safe and effective harnessing of halide chemistry, our ability to power on in the close of day when other photovoltaics have given up.
Halocell Energy was renamed in 2023 from Greatcell Energy to more accurately reflect this underlying chemistry.
Perovskites Solar Cells (PSCs)
Ongoing efficiency
PSC demonstrating over 25% efficiencies in <10 years, and still rising
Whilst silicon solar is reaching the peak of technical innovation.
Flexible, robust and low cost
Panels can be made in very small, flexible formats with low weight configurations and can be applied to any surface.
Better for the planet
Significantly smaller manufacturing footprint, making perovskites uses much less energy with much less toxic waste material than silicon, better for the planet than all other solar PV technology.
Market Applications
Indoor Devices
Our cells offer 3x-5x improved efficiency over current silicon solution enabling battery-free power solutions.
Outdoor Devices
The thin, light and flexible features are ideal to power the rapidly growing IoT device market and empower new device designs.
Industrial Assets
Industrial or grid scale applications include curved structures or large factories with roofs unable to support the weight of Silicon PV.
